Gotek Group participated in the Forest Etalon conference
Yesterday in Moscow, Interfax News Agency held a press conference dedicated to the Forest Etalon certification system and the results of its development to date since its launch in April 2022. The conference was attended by Roman Shibanov, the Director of the Corrugated Production Development Department of the Gotek Group.
Roman Valerievich said that the company has long chosen a course for sustainable development. "When designing packaging solutions, engineers face the challenge to ensure that packaging is functional and helps customers achieve their sustainable development goals. It's great that there was a team that picked up the need of big business in this industry and was able to preserve the values that were laid down in the FSC standard," he noted.
The enterprises of the Gotek Group (Gotek, Gotek-Center, Gotek North-West and Gotek-Print) under the leadership of Gotek company have successfully passed forest certification under the Forest Etalon system and received a certificate of conformity of the supply chain. As part of the products production, the enterprises of the Gotek Group plan to apply the appropriate labeling of certified products, thereby informing the company about the packaging made using certified material in accordance with the requirements of the forest certification system Forest Etalon. As of the morning of November 24, 2022, 147 certificates were issued in the Forest Etalon system (127 for supply chain (СОС) and 20 for forest management (FM/COC), 2,324,431 hectares of forests were certified, certified companies are located in 39 regions.
