The new digital printing press was installed at Gotek company

In February, JSC Gotek (Zheleznogorsk, Kursk Region), part of the Gotek Group, put into commercial operation a high-performance Glory 2504 digital printing press manufactured by the Chinese company Hanway. The project was implemented as part of the investment program for the development of the technological complex of the enterprise and is aimed at enhancing the capacity in the field of manufacturing eco-friendly packaging solutions for customers.

Glory 2504 is an integrated modular system that includes a press and a dryer. The maximum performance of the digital machine is up to 120 m/min. The maximum size of the workpiece used is 2000 x 2500 mm. As a digital printing press, printing plates are not used in the Glory 2504, it is able to work with arbitrarily small print runs. By cost-effectively coping with analog-inconvenient print runs, Glory 2504 thereby increases the productive operation time of traditional equipment, saves time, labor costs and, by printing on demand, is able to reduce product inventory. Hanway Company uses aqueous inks for its presses, produced by the parent group of Zhuhai Dongchang Pigment Co., Ltd, which have a food safety certificate. The CMYK color scheme is used for printing. The image resolution is 600 x 600 dpi.

The project budget was about 160 million Rubles. The financing was carried out with the participation of the "Raiffeisen-Leasing" lease finance company.

Vlasov, the Director of JSC Gotek. – The Hanway Glory 2504 printing press belongs to a new generation of equipment. Its difference from the HP Scitex 17000 digital printing press already available in the company is that it is single-pass, it means that printing is applied not by gradual filling of layers, but one-time. The high productivity of the equipment and the absence of the need for the manufacture of printing plates allow us to provide the customer with additional value – to ensure the rapid launch of products to the market. The minimum delivery time of a package with a new design is two days. The environmental approval of used aqueous inks makes it possible to use them in the manufacture of packaging for food products, both secondary (transport) and primary (individual). With absolute control over color and tone, which guarantees 100% color matching and high image clarity, it eliminates the possibility of color variations and underprinting, thus guaranteeing high quality prints throughout the run.”
