35 years at the head of "Gotek"
June 1st, 1989 is a special date in the employment record book of Vladimir Aleksandrovich Chuykov. On this day he was appointed as the director of the Zheleznogorsk Corrugated Packaging and Labels Plant in connection with his election to this position by the plant’s staff.
Many production veterans who cast their votes for Vladimir Alexandrovich remember well that time: turbulent, changeable and full of hope at the same time. They pinned their hopes on the new director who was so confident in the success of the enterprise that he was able to convince the plant’s staff of this and charge them with many years of fruitful work.
Over 35 years, under the leadership of Vladimir Chuikov, “Gotek” has grown from a small regional enterprise into the largest manufacturer of flexible and corrugated packaging in Russia. Vladimir Aleksandrovich built a team of like-minded people who created an effective concept for the development of the enterprise. “Gotek” has been moving forward confidently all these years, significantly ahead of other enterprises in the industry. Production grew, modern equipment was purchased, and new sites were built. In 1995 “Gotek” was the first to produce packaging made from laminated corrugated cardboard with multi-color flexo printing; a year later it was the first to master two-color printing on corrugated cardboard; in 2000 a new breakthrough was made - flexographic four-color printing on corrugated cardboard. And such achievements are countless.
