General Director of JSC "MC GP "Gotek" K. Kurov at the "Packaging 2025" conference

Konstantin Kurov, CEO of JSC "Management Company" Enterprise Group "Gotek", spoke at the "Packaging 2025" conference organized by CREON Conferences in Moscow. In his presentation, he discussed the intangible assets that will define the packaging industry's leaders in the coming years. Konstantin Nikolaevich drew the audience's attention to a key paradox of the current situation: "Customers demand multi-factor optimization - strength, lightness, environmental friendliness and affordability. But along with this the industry is cut off from global R&D centers and is forced to "reinvent the wheel"," he noted. In his presentation, the speaker outlined two possible development paths for packaging manufacturers. "The reactive approach meaning following market demands inevitably leads to the "red ocean" of price wars and the loss of long-term competitiveness," explained Konstantin

He identified an alternative strategy of anticipation, based on the development of three types of intangible assets:

"Staff is a team of experts with a proactive approach. Structured capital is R&D infrastructure and processes, not just equipment. Customer capital is a long-term partnership, not one-time sales," explained the CEO.

The presentation placed particular emphasis on shifting focus from short-term savings to lifecycle cost management. "This is where intellectual capital is monetized-through accelerated product launches, process optimization, and reduced disposal costs," emphasized K. Kurov.

Concluding his presentation, he addressed the conference participants: "Leading companies don't borrow solutions – they create their own expertise." The question is what are you investing in: copied tangible assets or unique intellectual capital? The future belongs to those who create solutions, not just packaging," Konstantin Nikolaevich summarized.
