Gotek-Polipak: Matte and tactile varnishes to expand the functionality of flexible packaging

After the launch of new equipment Gotek-Polipak has expanded its range of services for its customers - flexible packaging can now be zoned with matt or tactile varnishes. The application technology has been tested, mastered and transferred to production by the new product development team. The new equipment fleet allows the lacquer to be applied with a precision of up to 0.1 mm overlap with the image, ensuring a uniform layer and eliminating splatter.

"The use of new finishes in film production has opened up opportunities for the company's customers to both improve existing packaging solutions and create new.

First of all, matte coating allows to individualize the product, to stand out among competitors at the point of sale. In addition, this finish provides the product a premium look, attracting attention and inspiring confidence in the consumer.

The materials we use possess a number of technological advantages. First of all, it is high thermal resistance, which protects the film when used on welding equipment. High levels of chemical resistance, resistance to abrasion, scratching and other mechanical damage to the surface of the package will preserve the appearance of packaging directly from production to the customer.

Another significant advantage of matte-tactile coating is the possibility of its application on various types of printing materials. In addition, matte lacquer can be used in the production of almost any product, including food packaging.

Thus, our customers get a packaging solution with high protective functions of the material appearance, allowing to individualize the product, to realize complex solutions for package finishing", - notes Dmitriy Khudyakov, technologist of the Gotek-Polipak sales technological support group.
